(26,260 posts)The GOP better come to understand that she is fierce when it comes to defending and taking care of her state. Classy and fierce.

(26,260 posts)I'd miss her, too, but we have a great Lt. Governor, too. A very TALL, great Lt. Governor.

(16,926 posts)Ted Cruz goes out of his way to prove what an idiot he is! And yet he is a person in a position of power, making decisions that affect us all.

(54,370 posts)The speed with which Cruz took his post down is indicative of how deeply he felt the sting.
One brilliant post on that thread, I thought, was this:
"Nobody tell the Evangelicals that as soon as they made a godless, lying, lawless, womanizing conman their messiah, a plague showed up."
That should be on placards in front of every Evangelical church in the country.
It would be a good thing to put on a billboard.

(7,220 posts)They're prone to magical thinking anyway, why not use their gullibility to persuade them to act in their own best interest for a change?

(54,370 posts)I just pasted the post as I saw it.

(11,986 posts)Maybe he just took it down once he learned he was in error. I don't see where speed comes into it. If he had seen it an hour later (or more) and taken it down then, what difference would that make?
I don't know, I just don't get these posts like the OP saying he was "destroyed", etc. He found out he was wrong, he took it down, seems as simple as that.
DFW
(54,370 posts)But I think either Cruz or someone on his staff didn't want an erroneous nasty swipe at the Governor up there a second longer when they found out it was wrong, because EVERYTHING is ammunition for the opposition these days. Plus, his post was snarky where Whitmer killed him with kindness. I don't think he wanted THAT comparison up there for the world to see any longer than he had to, either.

(27,808 posts)It doesn't take long to research something like that, and public officials should be held to a higher standard in that regard anyway.

(21,563 posts)complain about the picture they used. there is no way they could make such mistake by accident. it is just an amazing coincidence that in a story about social distancing they went and found a photo to use of her a a bill signing surrounded by people? no one thought about how bad that would look to a viewer that didn't realize it was stock? Give me a break

(4,338 posts)...would have been to simply apologize for the mistake. Pathetic children with no humanity, no empathy, no brains. All I can say is Darwinism will prevail.
