Breaking: A sailor who tested positive for COVID-19 on the USS Theodore Roosevelt has died of coronavirus, says Navy. Nearly 600 sailors on board have now tested positive.

In the best of times, staying on a crowded claustrophobic ship, carrier, or submarine is among my worst nightmares, but with COVID-19?

I knew it would burn through the crew, but with serious illness, and now death, this is a real crisis. It surely vindicates the removed Captain.

We can suspect it, and be relatively sure we are right.

Republicans think it is of trivial importance that they play with American lives as if it were a game of checkers. To those affected, that view seems more than a little callous.

I am so broken at this news. As a navy wife, former ombudsmen, and just a mom... I am completely undone. I pray his survivors find comfort.
