Trump's latest rage-fest is one of his most absurd and dangerous yet

President Trump is expected to move this week to curb U.S. funding for the World Health Organization, after raging at the W.H.O. for accepting China’s initial downplaying of coronavirus. It’s clear the WHO will be a fat target as Trump deflects attention from damning new details emerging about his horribly botched coronavirus response.

As part of this latest exercise in blame-shifting, Trump has taken his first public shot at Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and his own administration’s leading medical expert. Trump angrily retweeted a call for Fauci’s firing, while again hailing his own early restrictions on travel from China and furiously bashing the media for failing to recognize that decision’s foresight and brilliance.

Underlying this rage-fest at all these targets is an actual argument: All criticism of his response pales beside this one travel decision, which he undertook in defiance of his own experts, the media, and international organizations, thus underscoring his brave and heroic leadership.

But this story line is profoundly absurd, for two very fundamental reasons. Amid new signs that it will be absolutely central to his efforts to erase his role in unleashing this catastrophe, it’s worth engaging frontally....

This is a real threat from the President, and our failure to fund the WHO could have a massive impact on global health.

It's a typical, Trump shake-down. "Make me look good. Toe the Party line, or I'll destroy you, even if it has a massive impact on global health. What do I care if an extra 10 million people die? Don't you care about that? If you do, you had better do everything in your power to make me look good."

Malignant narcissism in action.

He keeps acting as if this is like a light where you just flip a switch to turn it off. As if firing people and decreasing funding will automatically make a situation go away.

that wouldn't be considered "typical" child behavior. That would usually result in a child being sent to a mental institution or the psychologist office (at the very least).

the chaos this clown has unleashed in the ER's around this nation because of his "hoax" statements concerning Covid-19, his it'll "wash over us and be gone in a few weeks" statements is nothing short of catastrophic. My friend's daughter is an ER nurse and the shortage of PPE is a major danger to our health care first responders. In some of the larger clusters, it is extremely dangerous for our first responders. I will never forget nor will I stop telling people that this CIC is a malignant narcissist concerned only about his press. He cares nothing about us. I will never forget this potus and his general disregard for facts concerning this disease because he thinks he's someone smart.

I feel like, if nobody else, the Democrats in the House need to step up at some point (if they're not already) and discussing another Impeachment if he continues down the road he's on. Firing Dr. Fauci and kneecapping WHO in the midst of all this and possibly even trying to order everybody off of lockdown prematurely and unsafely should be viewed as actual safety threats to millions of people here in the US and billions more worldwide. I would love to see Republicans and Alan Dershowitz try to defend all of this during a Senate trial.

We do remember how they have demonized, demeaned and defunded the United Nations for decades.

The one-and-only Lady Gaga is partnering with the WHO and Global Citizen for the 'One World: Together At Home' star-studded, April 18 concert special for the U.N. Foundation's COVID-19 Response Fund.

NBC, CBS, and ABC have joined in and will simulcast they event. Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel are teaming up to co-host it, and you have to be brain dead if you believe they won't take shot's at the orange anus if the ass takes a shit on WHO.

I do not often agree with him! I would like to see a huge reduction in the money that the US taxpayers give to the World Health Organization.

They have not done a good job with this pandemic thus far.
