Stop Playing Small Ball Trump Should Be Forced To Resign Because Of His Incompetence

It's just the truth.

Between the criminal inaction, the lies, and the outright pathetic grandstanding while people die.

Every person Democrat of Republican should be screaming for him to resign, if they love their families, or care about others.

It's all a "media game" to Trump and if a wall doesn't fix it, and his hedge fund friends can't tell him what to do, he is a mass of jello.

People are dying needlessly.

They can't even set up a system where doctors and nurses can get protective masks for work.

Trump needs to go.

Where is the outrage.

It sucks we can't take to the street, because of Trump we would all get sick die from protesting. It's Catch 22 X 10.

That was already attempted by the only method we have - impeachment - and it failed. We can scream for his resignation all day but he won't do it. What do you suggest?

because they can't accept a feeling of powerlessness over a situation.

I find that to be more prevalent among straight cis white males, who are not used to feeling powerless... so someone must be slacking off somewhere.

This is, of course, a much different (and dire) issue. I don't see any sign that Trump is course-correcting on anything. If anything, he just keeps making it worse.

I understand that two Impeachments in a year probably isn't viewed by most as politically feasible but it seems like we are getting to a point where Trump's malign incompetence is literally causing a critical public health safety threat IMHO, especially if he decides he's going to try to bully State Governors into voiding their public health emergency orders or purposely withhold critical supplies for everybody other than his allies.

Speak for yourself.

Did you miss the impeachment?

But do tell us what hasn't been done that could be done to remove him by Democrats in office, because the only way that the constitution provides is impeachment or the 25th Amendment.

We're all ears.

If you want to complain about something, complain about something factual.

A seventh senator on Thursday called on President Donald Trump to resign amid renewed attention to past allegations of sexual harassment and assault.

Sen. Kamala Harris on Thursday called for President Donald Trump to resign.

On Tuesday Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) told NBC News that Trump is a “misogynist,” “admitted sexual predator” and “liar” with a “narcissistic need for attention.”

“The only thing that will stop him from attacking us — because nobody’s safe — is his resignation,” she said.

Harris joins Hirono, Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in calling for the president’s resignation.

Where have you been??? Certainly not on DU or social media, or you would see it.

If it was possible for Congress to remove Trump, it would have happened.

You seem to be unfamiliar with the feeling of something being out of your control that affects you profoundly. There is no Democratic "manager" who is neglecting to fix this situation.

Welcome to the world as it has always been for of those who are not white straight men.

Trump goes on the tee vee every day with his campaign rally telling lies and causing deaths.

A bunch of people needs to demand he resign.

He is a master of leading the press around on a leash.

Cut the leash. Change the narrative.

Trump Must Leave Now To Save Lives.

Say it over and over and over and over.

Take the narrative back and put it where it belongs.

People are dying like flies because of Trump's incompetence.

He won't leave, but we can't make staying so easy.

resign?"

You don't seem to understand that he's not like Nixon - Trump has no shame, and he thinks that he's far more powerful than the press. He takes his frustrations out on the press criticizing him. He tells his followers that he's a martyr because of it. Watch him sometime if you don't believe me.

It's Pence, not the press that has the power to remove him - Pence is the one "making it easy."

You also don't seem to have any clue as to the daily essays and OPEDs about the clear and present danger Trump is. Just because you don't read them doesn't mean they're not there.

We get it. You're upset that he's not gone - like the rest of us. The rest of us just understand that there isn't a manager to call over to fix this, and blaming a fictional "incompetent" one isn't productive or realistic.

Not mine.

Continuing ehrnst's theme, Nixon stayed dug in until a contingent of senators from his own party went over to the White House to present a dose of reality to the president.

Perhaps the ghost of Senator Goldwater is available on quick notice?

Lots of luck with that.

"A majority of the Senate represents 18% of the population."

To avoid removal, Trump needs senators representing only 7 percent of the country to support him

The House impeachment vote, however, largely mirrored what Americans in those districts wanted.

That's more than 'saying it' that's doing everything they could about it. The press, especially the NYT and WAPO have been publishing stories about how dangerous he is since day one.

Again....

Resigning is something that one does voluntarily. Nixon did it voluntarily to avoid impeachment. That didn't scare Trump enough, clearly.

The ONLY way to remove him other than impeachment is the 25th amendment, and Pence has to initiate that.

Complain to Pence. Tell him that he has to remove Trump.

Let us know what he says.
