Spoken like a true dictator though. At least he is being more open and honest about his real intentions and why the GOP is in lockstep with him rather than opposing a Trump Regime(tm).

I guess many people are either too shocked that a sitting President could be so dangerous to democracy or they prefer to deny it and think that it can't happen here--which is rather common.

We can even see other country's governments using the pandemic to move to an authoritarian-style and suspending rights. These are the kinds of situations that usurping ideologies can seize more power. Trump knows and sees that and has been taking many steps as reports show, here and abroad to cement his Junta in place for the end game.
