The real reason for yesterday's press farce?

"Only I can do it."

"I take no responsibility at all."

"I have total authority."

Those are defining quotes of the Trump presidency.

Yesterday was about who to blame? He wants to open the country up but the Governors are preventing him from doing it. He says he has total authority but he doesn't want to be responsible.

With Donald Trump, it is always about covering your ass. (CYA) Now, if the economy doesn't recover satisfactorily, it is not his fault. He had the greatest economy in the history of the world and he did it all by himself. The Governors are preventing him from bringing it back, by calling the simple "flu" a pandemic. He wants to get the people back to work. Many people agree with him. Many at FOX News agree with him.

Yesterday was about not taking responsibility. It was about shifting the blame. He did nothing wrong. He was not late in recognizing and addressing the scourge that attacked our nation. (He has a political ad to prove it.) It was the responsibility of the Governors to take care of their states. It wasn't the responsibility of the Federal government. They did not prepare properly.

So, the entire purpose of the press farce yesterday was to create a scapegoat for the pandemic, for the depressing loss of jobs, for the losses on Wall Street, for the general mess in which we find ourselves. It was about creating a political position for the next election.

Do you feel comfortable opening up the country June 1st?

Would be fascinating to see the results. They never ask questions like that. No. Can’t do straight up factual polls. Always have to write them agenda driven.

Roberts showed EXACTLY where his loyalties lie during that impeachment farce. I am no lawyer, but even I know there is no trial without questions being ASKED and ANSWERED from both sides. Everyone, including Roberts knew what the verdict would be, even before anyone showed up at the hearing. Moscow Mitch had everyone, including Roberts signed, sealed and delivered to tRump.

how many will recognize his hypocrisy?

1st he said the governors are on their own with getting supplies. When they do trump move in on them, like a * and seizes their orders. Then blames governors for doing a bad job, and they should praise him more to get the help they need.

2nd trump says the federal government is not there to help the states, buoyed by jared who claimed the National stockpile is not for the states to use in emergencies, but for their own use.

Again reaffirming that the federal government has any responsibility over the states. Now he claims responsibility over the states and can force them to open back up for financial reasons. If they don't agree with him, see point #1

I’m guessing they think they can take ownership of the flattening of the curve. Of course other curves are popping up in the states that blindly followed him.

I’d love to know if Stephen Miller thought that was a good performance and if he thinks they are still “owning the Libs”.

Trump can't bully a virus, can't just Tweet it away. Red states listened to Trump and because of that they are going to get hit harder.
No way the numbers coming out of Texas are accurate, 1/4 of Texas doesn't have insurance and that not only contributed to their health problems but because those people didn't go to hospitals Texas hospitals will be less equipped to handle more people.
No way the numbers in Florida are accurate with its older population. DeSantis already has been caught hiding nursing home deaths.
Trump can't make the virus just go to blue states, it's going to hit Trump supporters who still believe the virus is no worse than the flu.
They are such a cult maybe even death won't change their minds?

And the most depressing part of this travesty of an administration is the fact that 40% , give or take a few, of my fellow citizens support it. I will never look at people the same way again tbh. I find myself looking at people and thinking, now YOU are a trumpist. I know, I know its wrong but I can't help myself. Guess that's another way our chump in chief has soiled the country because I can't be the only one.

I find myself instantly disliking ANYONE who simply abides Trump...his supporters are scum of the Earth to me and his enablers are the scourge of history. We cannot afford to cater to their brand of insanity any longer.

To anyone who wants to coddle these people and say "we are going to need them to rebuild", I'm sorry, but you're wrong...we need to neuter them to get them out of the way or they will continue to fuck up things because that is their natural state of being...the equivalent of 'resting bitch face' - it's 'resting dictator fan'.

Fuck them all. Hard.

Red states like South Dakota believed Trump that the virus was a hoax or that it is no worse than the flu, they were very slow in taking preventive measures and some red states took practically no measures.

Check out Sioux Falls South Dakota, it still doesn't have a stay at home order from the governor. The pork packing plant there employs a huge number of people, it has had to shut down. The people in that plant literally work shoulder to shoulder, when will that plant be able to open up again? Who will want to work there?

If death and job loss doesn't start to sway some of the cult's minds then they are just zombies.

I repeat, medical people have been urging the governor to call for a lock down and he still will not issue the stay at home order. Red states that believed Trump are going to get hit worse because they are not following advice from the experts.

I saw a headline but didn't click on it, did the governor of Florida deem pro wrestling an essential service?

Tue Apr 14, 2020, 09:12 AM
Apr 2020

Have a judge in the family and once you get to advertise "Re elect Judge X", it's over. People just don't pay attention to races for Judge's seats. The only real exceptions to that is when local judges make a bad decision or somebody goes free on a tech or conservative launch a statewide campaign.

Winning that seat during a pandemic when only 5 polling locations in Madison open causing 5 hour waits was the equivalent of a gopher drawing to an inside straight in the morning poker game, hitting a hole in one on the first hole (with 35 MPH wins and then reaching in his pocket taking out an old Mega Millions ticket that hits a 9 figure grand prize.

They know that they have list MI. PA is gone. They now know WI is impossible for them. Oh by the way they are only 5 points ahead in Utah

AND THEY MAY HAVE SEEN THE AZ POLL THAT SHOWS THEM DOWN BY 8 IN AZ!!!!!!!
