My mom did not receive hers. She does not file but uses direct deposit for her Social Security.
I recently filed a return with direct deposit info.
We both use Citizens Bank.
I checked the Get Payment Info on the IRS site and it said can not determine eligibility for either of us. That should not be! Is that only for filers to use?

(24,396 posts)of payments. Right now, payments are going to people who filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return and were owed a refund. You usually dont include your bank acct info in your tax filing if you owe money.
My son - who has a refund this year - got his $1200 today. My wife and I - both on SS, but owed $ this year which we paid last month - have not received our relief $.

(65,173 posts)Frustrating because we both need it. Would have been easier if payment of some kind just went to everyone. I am sure the Repukes wouldnt go for that. Plus, Trumps IRS WOULD be incompetent.

(47,399 posts)someone said that their stimulus deposit came with their regular Social Security payment. It appears that people will receive the stimulus on the same date that they receive their monthly payment.

(64,995 posts)Went to that bank and got an alert that they were having a problem with on-line banking.
Because we're not getting the whole amount due to high income, I wasn't expecting it yet.
I'm guessing we're low on the priority list.

(1,856 posts)There's this note: "We are not currently able to process individual paper tax returns due to the COVID-19 outbreak."
I file paper returns, which may account for the delay for me.
Also, I'm a retiree, so I may end up in the Soc Sec bunch. We'll see.

(41,832 posts)I owed no tax in 2018, and I owed in 2019(filed in Feb.)
I figure on either form I did not have my bank information. HOWEVER, I am on Social Security and got that money today.
We will see if filling out the form on the IRS site works.

(6,280 posts).... both receive Social Security. We filed in 2018 but have not filed yet for 2019. We have not received any stimulus check yet. I have a portion of my monthly check, and any IRS refund going to pay off my VA medical bills. I don't think they will take the stimulus check as I am always notified when funds are withheld. Of course that doesn't mean it won't happen.

(1,586 posts)IRS said: According to information that we have on file, we cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time.
I think that they haven't done any of the ones for people who are on ss only and don't file taxes.

(17,530 posts)and I have gotten nothing. We haven't yet filed our taxes due this year, but our direct deposit information has not changed in years.

(65,173 posts)If my mom and I dont receive ours by Friday, should we both put in our direct deposit info? They should have it, but I want to make sure we get our money.

(65,173 posts)Would appreciate it. I dont want to add direct deposit info. if it would just complicate things.
