I've been trying to get a comprehensive thread going. It's important to preserve the evidence and the research to show why the alleged flight restrictions were a joke.

the travel bans were announced. The airlines actually helped them work around the restrictions. Clearly it was too little, too late.

The one from China was imposed later than it should be. At first suspicion, flights should have been limited.

Americans were let through regardless. Some of the earliest cases in California were Americans infected in China. S. Korea and Taiwan monitored the quarantine of their nations who returned home.

The restrictions were draconian enough. The grounding of flights from Europe also came too late. New York was infected by Europeans.

He did it wrong. He should have done it faster, more thoroughly, and monitored US citizens/residents returning very closely.

And without debate.

trump was briefed last November, he imposed the "shutdown" in Feb. With lots of loopholes and unclear directives. By that time C-19 was already here and spreading. Which he also ignored and very publically claimed a hoax. All the while his briefings were trying to get him to take this seriously. Which didn't happen.

Sometime around St. Patrick's day I though he might. But that presser turned out to be one lie after another. Still waiting on that website he announced. And well, the test kits...

5 months since he was told and still waiting on test kits.

Count in the fiasco with his European restrictions. He announced flights were stopping on a certain date. Which sent Americans abroad into a panic to get back to the US.

One of the 1st cases where my daughter lives came back from Europe. When she got off the plane at KFK, she told customs she was feeling ill. She fully expected that she would not be allowed on her next flight. No one gave her a form or took her temp. She was waved through. She tried to do the right thing and they told her she was good to go. Another city with patient zero. All because of a lack of leadership.
