Fauci Says 'There's A Way' For Sports To Return. Here's How.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that “there’s a way” for sports seasons to return later this year, but with some restrictions in place.

When asked whether sports seasons are in jeopardy during an interview on Snapchat on Wednesday, Fauci outlined stipulations that would need to happen for sports events to return, which would include no spectators at games.

“There’s a way of doing that — nobody comes to the stadium,” Fauci said. “Put (athletes) in big hotels, you know, or wherever you want to play. Keep them very well-surveilled and have them tested every week and make sure they don’t wind up infecting each other or their family.”

After saying that’s how we’ll “let them play their season out,” Fauci refuted the idea that you can’t have sports without spectators.

With the right camera setup, this can be played at a professional level at home.

Chess, Solitaire (strip or otherwise) and perhaps some other card games. Professional snooker or pool (without audience) is easy.

Most of us can't get tested unless we have a very specific set of symptoms, and then it will probably take a week to get an appointment.

And, how will they play without beer-soaked fans yelling? It would be like playing soccer without vuvuzelas.

Sounds like an improvement to me.

It will be weird for the players but I don’t see any reason that the tv experience would be terribly harmed.

My GAF meter is not moving a bit for overpriced hero worshipping.

Had a surgery two hours ago and can't find enough bandages.

That's where I'm at but I hope billionaire franchise owners will have golden parachutes floating gracefully onto soft pillows of taxpayer cash.

shades of Ancient Rome moment ?
Maybe I’m wrong but I think some players may not be so willing to have contact sport like football basketball start up for a while
