Re: Lansing Michigan Organized Protest Mike Detmer R Candidate for Congress

This guy needs to lose his congressional race. He is running against Elissa Slotkin(D) Michigan 8th district

A Howell man vying for Rep. Elissa Slotkin's congressional seat appeared to violate a social distancing order when he took a selfie with a group of protesters in Lansing Wednesday, one of whom was flashing a white supremacist symbol.

Mike Detmer, a real estate agent and Republican, was one of thousands who gathered for the hourslong "Operation Gridlock" protest outside the Capitol, which was initially billed as a vehicular protest. But Detmer, like many, got out of his car, grinning for a photo with a cluster of about a dozen people. In the background, a nearby truck beared a sign that read "Proud Boys," a Southern Poverty Law Center-designated hate group known for its anti-Muslim and misogynistic rhetoric.

Detmer posted the photo to his Facebook page; it has since been taken down. He could not immediately be reached for comment.

Even supporters in my little shithole said they were embarrassed by this. Betsy DeVoss sent her best. They are just stupid as fuck.

A congressional candidate helped put so many lives at risk today. I suspect there were other Repukes involved in organizing this. We need names. I just happen to see him when I was scrolling through the trending topic “Lansing”

to the original tweet. Then, when you get to it, click on the tweet again, to get rid of all the excess coding from the retweet.

Then bring the URL back to DU, and paste it, BUT remove the word "mobile" and the period that follows it if you're using a phone or small tablet. If you leave "mobile." you'll get a link but not the tweet itself.

If so, I hope Governor Polis sends out the state patrol, joined by the Denver Police Department, to cite every last damn one of the for every possible infraction, including violating the shelter in place order.

That would serve everyone of those sheep right! I bet this is all being organized from the top down in the GOP.
