"Those people" at the capitol today were my people. I know them, I know their minds, hell I probably went to school with a lot of them.

I went to a "good" school district and sat side by side with these people. Thankfully I left the small town where I grew up and allowed myself to experience the joy and pain of personal, spiritual and philosophical growth, while they stayed behind and festered. Shit, a lot of them left and festered still.

These days I walk around in a daze wondering if the whole fucking town I grew up in was a cult. With a few exceptions, they are all the same. "They think real small, they use small words" to quote Peter Gabriel. Such a fucking spot on song.
