I believe when other countries begin to reopen their economies and get back to somewhat normalcy. I do believe they will ban flights from the US. They will have heavy travel restrictions to and from here due to the mishandling of the virus thanks to Dump and co.
The reverse uno card is coming. Just another shine of Dumps failed legacy as president. Mexico already did it. Other countries will not want Americans to come and infect their citizens.
Now this is what I believe will happen.

(9,426 posts)The US has had the most inept handling of the virus, our own citizens can not trust this president or his administration. Nobody is capable of telling the truth. Why are the airlines getting huge bailouts? Who will be able to afford to fly anywhere? People are lining up for hours to get food. Who is even THINKING of flying away on vacation? Don't many cruise ships fly foreign flags? Why are US taxpayers bailing them out???

(3,532 posts)Germany is starting, slowly. The Bundesliga is going to try to have matches for the top 2 leagues. Behind closed doors. Only TV for people who want to watch. They figure there will be 240 people at each game counting players, coaches and the others needed.
They are going to start with some school children. The cohort is the kids that face the placement test for future course work. This is an important test to determine if you head down a trade course line or a university line of education. Also the children are old enough to understand how to keep distance.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

(54,302 posts)Very few people, comparatively, have been tested here, so the local governments are gambling that there are fewer infected people here than elsewhere, or that a large number of those not tested have been infected, were asymptomatic, and are no longer a danger due to the month-long quarantine we have just undergone. At least two of our neighbors, France and Belgium, have extended their lockdown until May 11th. Here in Germany, we will find out quickly enough if we were too hasty.

(765 posts)The term 'ugly Americans', used by people in many countries, because of our loud, arrogant, better than everyone else behavior. Won't hold a candle, to what they think of us now. Now we are still all that, plus decease ridden idiots.

(7 posts)Things are so messed up where I live that they are rationing test. Local nursing home had 2 staff members test positive, and of the 20 elderly residents that have been exposed and showing signs, only 5 were able to get tested. The other 15 are in isolation with no idea when they will get tested. This means that our county/state does not have the ability to source out the true number of how many people have the virus. From my understanding, this is not an anomaly happening in our county... it's a problem all over the US. If I was a foreign country, I wouldn't want Americans flying in with the possibility of carrying the virus, either.
