Question regarding stimulus checks. Hubs and I receive social security direct deposit.

As we don't have deductions taken out and owe taxes every year, IRS has no direct deposit info for us. We absolutely qualify for the stimulus. We both receive SS direct deposit on the 4th Wednesday of the month. Since SS has our bank info, will that be shared with IRS? If so, would stimulus money be deposited on the same day of month as social security? I can find nothing regarding this. Grateful to fellow DU folks who might have info regarding this. Went on IRS website yesterday to find "status not available".

account I use for taxes. As the IRS, I do not think they have that SS info or if so it is not easily accessible as the tax account was/is. Did you go to IRS.gov to see if the check has been issued?

Go to irs.gov. You can see if your check is going to be direct deposited and also enter your bank information there if they do not already have it.

Someone yesterday, who gets SS deposits on the third Wednesday, said that the stimulus payment was also made on that day. Like you, my wife and I receive SS deposits on the fourth Wednesday, so I'm waiting to see if the stimulus payments come through then, as well.

I suspect that will be the case. I did pay the IRS taxes I owed on my 2018 income directly from my bank, so they have that account information through that venue, but I think they're using the Social Security deposit information for the stimulus payment for people like us.

I think we'll get them next Wednesday. If I don't, I'll go to the IRS site, but I'm not going to bother with that until after Wednesday.

to our monthly SS payout on Tuesday 14th, direct deposit. We do have deductions and use direct deposit for our refund each year.

We did not get our pandemic relief check on the same day as our SS monthly check. They were a week apart.

I hope this helps.

I went to the IRS site but got an unsatisfying result of "unable to determine..." or something.
