Another reason physical distancing and other measures are important.

As time passes, treatment methods for COVID-19 patients are being refined and modified, based on experience. New therapies are being tested. What that means for those of us who don't have the disease is that the more time that passes, the more likely we'll get improved treatments if we contract the virus and must be treated.

The longer an individual can avoid becoming ill, the better that individual's chances will be of surviving the illness. It's that simple.

So, keep following the guidelines and try like crazy not to get sick. Soon, treatments will be much improved. That's always the case with new infectious diseases. Stay healthy as long as you can.
