https://wreg.com/news/game-on-florida-arcade-to-rent-out-deliver-game-and-pinball-machines-to-customers-at-home/TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) When the coronavirus began to spread, one Florida arcade thought that could mean game over for business.
To try and cope with what is going on, we did some to-go sales on a very limited basis, said Robert Leonard, owner of Lowry Parcade.
Shortly afterward, the arcade, which focuses on classic games and craft beer, came up with what they consider a winning strategy.
We are actually scrambling to deliver our games for rental on a weekly or monthly basis, said Leonard. I have the best staff in the world; they have all been super helpful. They tried to get this going.
More at link. $79/ week; $125/mo. Bet those prices are going to skyrocket. Personally, I would rather donate all extra $ to Joe, DNC, etc. 👍

(2,554 posts)1. I bought a Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga machine from an arcade...
...shortly after I retired a little more than five years ago. I had been playing Ms. Pac-Man regularly on that same machine for several years and they said I could have it for $1,200. When I retired I cashed out 10 percent of my retirement account and used that money to pay off credit cards, take a couple vacations, buy a Honda Metropolitan scooter, and buy the Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga arcade machine, which still works fine and still sits in my living room. I'm really glad I have it, especially now that I'm having to spend all my time staying in the house.

Yes sir. Galaga is pretty cool too. For some reason, those old classics never stop being fun. I still play them on MAME sometimes.
