is thick. The pattern pretty. I washed them twice. Bought them 25 years ago almost. They don't make cotton like that anymore. Plus they absorb lots of moisture. I find the paper masks don't. Wish i could sew those ties your friend has on her mask. My dexterity is not so great for fine work. So i go with elastic.
