here's another stimulus check complication....an address change.

We haven't gotten refunds in years, so the IRS doesn't have our bank routing number. We also moved in mid January - it didn't occur to me to do a change of address with the IRS, since that would happen at tax time. Well, COVID hit, the shit hit the fan - and goodness knows where our checks are.

I actually found a change of address form and sent it in a few weeks ago - but it is not possible to know if they received it in time - or even if they have the staffing to make the change. Using any on line tools to track it leads to the dreaded message "can't determine your status for the stimulus check".
