This explains why November could be in jeopardy.

While I appreciate so much more can happen to change supporters minds, he is in campaign mode every day he holds his briefing. Media is playing into his hands.

-snips-

He is the new Houdini. His entire life he has been an escape artist.

“He’s a magician that way. Other people would stop and recognize that they were defeated. Or that they should be shamed. He refuses.”
Jennifer Mercieca, a professor at Texas A&M University and the author of the forthcoming Demagogue for President: The Rhetorical Genius of Donald Trump

Attention can be good or bad, but a central gambit of the life of Trump is that that’s actually not true. That it’s all good. That attention is power. That if you’re watching, he’s winning.

“Anybody who studies him and studies the nature of power and propaganda when melded together should understand that this is not going to be easy,” veteran Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf said of his party’s shot to make Trump a one-term president.

I think his base will vote for him, of course, but Trump-fatigue will have set in for the apolitical low-info crowd. Biden doesn't excite hardly anybody, but also doesn't generate dislike, so I predict he'll win.

The piece does not say he can’t lose. Is that your take away?

Why are you fighting with me?

“The video the president showed at the beginning of Monday’s briefing that many described as propaganda marked an escalation in this effort and a likely preview of what’s to come. “PRESIDENT TRUMP TOOK DECISIVE ACTION,” the screen said.

And on Thursday, on the heels of the latest dismal unemployment numbers, the Trump campaign blasted out an email, with a quote attributable to its communications director, trying to flip the narrative. It echoed Sheinkopf’s mock script. “Under the president’s leadership the economy reached unprecedented heights before it was artificially interrupted and it will be though his guidance that we’ll restore it to greatness …”

Don’t believe this can work?

Don’t believe Trump can win?

“Talk to President Hillary Clinton,” Sheinkopf said.” (Sheinkopf is a Democratic strategists)

is highly dependent on the GOP. Trump would be gone tonight, if the power behind the GOP found him useless. He's like the opening-act to get the crowd going....but he is not the one behind the curtains making the decisions. I suppose if I wasn't so saturated with Trump-lore I might find it interesting...but, instead I find it irritating.

And Agolf Twitler is the reason why.

This is one time he can’t bully, tweet, lie, cheat, and bamboozle his way out of it. The virus doesn’t read Twitter. It will rage on and kill hundreds of thousands of Americans by November.

Plus we will be in a depression.

He will lose bigly.

Trust in that.

He is a master propagandist and has managed to turn every failure into a success. Of sorts

Even after his football league went down in flames, he had some other owners speaking kindly of him, and nobody getting as pissed as they should have. How he snookered them into thinking he was their friend is anyone's guess.

As his casino "empire" was collapsing, he was yakking about the genius he was to have gotten out of the business at the right time.

He was ignorant enough to think he invented "pump and dump" as he watched stock prices rise when he bought something, but the rest of the street saw what was going on and dumped him. He still yakked about being a genius stock picker, and some still believed him. Until the SEC took interest.

So, as bad as it would look for a normal human at this point, we're not talking about a normal human, and pulling out of these flames could be his "greatest" achievement.

President Barnum.

I have no earthly idea if he will win or lose. Historical perspective is nothing to dismiss. I am wiser for reading and now can incorporate into talking points. I dunno, I don’t think reading such an article is a bad thing.

I will pound the pavement and work hard for Biden.
