(31,454 posts)the professionals step to the podium, because Trump doesn't move far enough away to be out of camera shot. He hovers. It's like what he did to Hillary in the debates. I can't stand to watch him, or listen to him. He's still getting coverage that no other POTUS, or candidate for office would EVER get.
Rachel (Gawd bless her) is the only show that provides respite from his ass face. She always says, "watch what they do, not what they say". It's the reason she doesn't cover his tweets, and other assorted rantings and ravings. On some shows, from beginning to end, it's just coverage of the latest dumb shit to ooze from his fetid lips.
No matter how much they proclaim to the contrary, I no longer believe it's about the value of "knowing what the other side is saying", it's about sensationalism; that may be good for their bottom line, but does absolutely nothing to promote the education of the voting public.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
