"Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_no_one_rid_me_of_this_turbulent_priest%3F

- "My liege, what do you mean by that? Are you seriously commanding us to murder the Archbishop of Canterbury?"

- "What? Nononono. All I'm saying is that I, the king, have total authority, and I would really like it if somewhere were to 'get rid of' this guy. I was just thinking out loud."

- "So, we're not actually supposed to kill him?"

- "Well... All I'm saying is that I would appreciate it if someone would decide to take matters into their own hands and kill him."

"Get out of my state and take you trashy friends with you!" I find tRump's "very fine people" to be scum of the earth, and creepy, egotistical low lives. A hundred of you stomping down Minnesota streets do not outrank the thousands of us Staying Safe at Home. Get you sorry *sses back to your own yard, but stay out of mine. No Trespassing allowed!

5. I wonder how many of the protesters were even residents of the states.

The only one of the self-appointed militias named as organizers that I remember is the Proud Boys. They travel all over the place to stage protests and push political violence against the left. They were a big part of the crown in Charlottesville that turned so ugly.

These protests obviously were not just spontaneous reactions by local citizens just tired of self-quarantining.

It has many guises.

Be it man, be it beast, be it invisible, best be afraid, very afraid.

Trust no one, keep your distance, talk to no one, stay inside, wash your hands, wear your mask.
And hopefully we will meet again, in better times, when the Evil has gone, and we can laugh and dance around in the sunshine once more.
Humanity, I cry for thee.

"Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?" (also expressed as "troublesome" or "meddlesome priest&quot is a quote attributed to Henry II of England, which preceded the death of Thomas Becket, the Archbishop of Canterbury, in 1170. While it was not expressed as an order, it prompted four knights to travel from Normandy to Canterbury, where they killed Becket. The phrase is commonly in modern day used to express the idea that a ruler's wish can be interpreted as a command by his or her subordinates.
