1 officer dead and 2 other injured in an ambush attack in San Marcos, Tx.

The officers were responding to an domestic violence call is an apartment complex where the officers where ambushed by the gunman with a rifle. The gunman died of an apparent self-inflicting gunshot. The other two officers were taken to a local hospital and where one of them was listed in critical condition.
A statement from Gov Abbott "violence is a somber reminder of the service and sacrifice our brave men and women in law enforcement make every day to keep us safe".
