(43,080 posts)1. This story from SNL's Pete Davidson says it all.
If I knew nothing else at all about Donald Trump, I might actually feel sorry for him after reading this.
https://mashable.com/2018/05/17/donald-trump-snl-fake-phone-call/
According to Davidson whose impression is subtle but pretty damn good Trump picked up a phone that didn't even ring.
He said: Hello? Fantastic, okay great, and then announced to the room, Hey everybody, my book just went No. 1. (The book, which released a week later, debuted at #5.)
Davidson also points out that, beyond the egregious detail of the phone not ringing, Trump spoke right after saying hello, which means that there was no one speaking to him on the other end (or he was talking over them, which we're sure happens a lot). He didn't actually pretend to receive the news he quickly shared with everyone and that's just Improv 101.

Most people with Cluster B personality disorders understand that much. They get scary when they start to see their lack of empathy and their Machiavellian tendencies as strengths rather than liabilities.
