Born To Run the Numbers sees Donald Trump's "LIBERATE MICHIGAN" tweet as the opening salvo of a heinous re-election strategy:

Excerpts: "What is up with these crazy tweets? Allow me to translate from Donald-speak: 'Attention, fellow wingnuts! Dont let those Democrats who are try to keep you healthy stop you from sacrificing your grandparents so that I can get the economy where it needs to be for my re-election!' This is the essence of Donald Trumps plan for turning the pandemic into the argument for his re-election...
"Not that Trump doesnt already have a lot going for him as we sail toward November. First and foremost, he retains the Republican herd immunity to fact, reality, and objective truth. This is the guy who once said that he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose a vote. Gross underestimate!! It now appears that he could be responsible for the deaths of a substantial percentage of the United States 39,158 coronavirus victims and not lose a single vote from his fiercely loyal if willfully ignorant voting bloc-heads..
"Hey, its a win-win-win for Donald. He gets to claim that hes the one fighting for the middle class. He pastes the doctors and the Democrats as the big government establishment that is wrecking Trumps 'perfect' economy. He can claim that as President, he deserves credit for any good news , but in punting all the hard decisions to governors, he has a convenient target for blame...
"The very conflict that Donald Trump is seeking to hype a binary choice between extreme outcomes -- is a grievously flawed premise. It seeks to create an artificial zero sum proposition: that, on the one hand, in order for the economy to be strong, people must die; and yet, on the other hand, in order for a few lives to be saved, the economy must be forever ruined, incinerating the financial lives of millions of Americans. The advocates of 'health first' challenge that premise. They believe that the best path to the restoration of our economy begins by making the health of the American worker our greatest priority... "

(12,712 posts)I don't think we will have to wait very long to see how this deception for the base and gullible works out.
In a couple of weeks or so after each protest or event, we will find out what kind of vectors they are for the spread. I am hoping that there will be reporters on that and statistics to demonstrate what is going on in the field.
Wouldn't it be better not to have to see that, though? That's the whole damn point of the measures we are taking and making sacrifices for, which is far more of a demonstration of patriotism and caring for our FELLOW Americans. The "me" fest is not even an ideology other than one of egotism on various levels as reflected by General Trump's own megalomania and the relationship of that with his followers and certain media at a time when we are, most certainly, in this together.

(10,156 posts)Criminally Negligent Homicide is defined as "situations where a defendant is aware of a situation, knows its dangerous, but ignores a risk that results in a death of another.
In the case of Donald J. Trump, he's guilty of Criminally Negligent Mass Homicide.
