Yay! Costa Rica has registered its third-straight decrease in known active coronavirus cases.

Our Presidente is way better than your (so called) President.

Seems like we moved here just in time!

Completely different from other parts of the country.

The mountains here have the livable climate. Coasts are hot and humid.

Nicoya is a dust bowl and HOT.

So it really depends. But we love Arenal.
Dreamed about it for 13 years. Sold everything and moved here sight unseen. Have not regretted it. Happily quarantined I Paradise.

and who has had many connections there for over two decades... American transplants are probably more of a problem.

I’m guessing from what I read

But out of 600+ cases only about 89 are ex pats

Also most cases are not old like expats are.
40 and under are hit more. But that’s the laborer group so I understand why.

Our first case was a Tico that returned from Italy.
