We need to get a few thousand ugly angry people in our ranks, maybe marching with pictures of Marx and calling for the destruction of capitalism and capitalists when we march. We also have to get rid of that "compassionate" stuff. Compassion doesn't sell.

And a bunch of Stalinist robots screaming bloody murder would get the same treatment that the Republican-Trump loving Nazis and KKK Supremacists get in the media.

But nooooo. We have to march for peace and love and justice and equality. Boring stuff for a media that needs anger and nastiness to feed to the lowest common denominator of its viewers.

and I see coverage of a handful of people congregating to make news, in my head I think the copy should be read to say, "Today, dozens of people showed up to..."

Watching stupid people injure themselves is somehow more captivating than watching intelligent people peacefully protest a Mango Mussolini.

Apparently well-armed astro-turfers are so much more significant to the media than a million peaceful protesters marching against this despot and chief.

Give the audience something shocking to gawk at so they will ignore the real perfidy going on behind the scenes.

are we going to see our politicians insist on everyone wear a mask in public? Countries with the lowest infection rates per population require this. Want to get back to work and see all businesses open back up, then call/email all your politicians....city/state/national.

Despite the "liberal bias" claimed by right wingers, Right wing framing is often much more visible in the news. Right wing politicians get more airtime than Democratic Politicians.

Journalists are by far, more likely to have progressive/liberal beliefs, however, the higher ups and especially the owners of the media companies are typically wealthy and promote a more corporate/conservative friendly agenda.

Showing people protesting FOR the status quo is a much more desirable thing to showing people advocating for a paradigm shift when it come to money.
