FreeDUMB is not free, and it comes at a cost, to you and to me.
I have seen numerous stories about these right wing groups gathering in various state capitals to protest the quarantine orders, and to demand that their state reopen immediately.
First, I see them as Tea Party, version 2020. They are small groups, with links to Libertarian funders, but the corporate media, being attracted to shiny objects, will magnify the influence and reach of these groups out of all proportion to their actual numbers.
Second, these right wing idiots share various views. One group is those who ignore anything that they do not see on Fox News, and ignore anything that they do not hear from Trump himself.
Another group is those who simply do not understand the concept of asymptomatic carriers of COVID19. Or if they do admit that some carriers might be asymptomatic, they do not believe that these people can spread the virus.
Another group simply does not care. They assume that they are somehow immune to the virus, and they behave accordingly.
The solution, in my view, is that we need a cleansing blue wave in November 2020 to sweep out the infection in Washington DC. And that infection is clustered in the ranks of the GOP at all levels of government.
