Even if Trump tried to do the right thing about this pandemic

he can’t because the people he put in charge of all the government agencies are incompetent and inexperienced and frankly clueless about what to do. Remember when Bush said, “Heck of a job Brownie” to a man who pleaded to his friends in an email to rescue him and who proceeded to do the most incompetent and derelict job with FEMA? The result of that clusterfuck response was the loss of hundreds of lives and the devastation of an entire city.

The fact is “Brownie” didn’t deliberately do malicious things. He was just incapable because he didn’t have a clue and he worked for a boss who also didn’t have a clue. It was all fumble fingers and lack of experience but it cost the people of Louisiana dearly during their darkest of times.

This is what’s happening now. If Trump had left the competent directors in their positions it wouldn’t matter what he says or does. The directors would have stepped in to do their allotted jobs and all they would ever need Trump for would be to authorize them to do the job.

Even if Trump suddenly grew a human bone and wanted to do the most basic right thing he wouldn’t be able to. Because there’s nobody there with the experience to respond in the right way. Trump’s administration is nothing more than a sand castle which we will wipe out in November.

Joe Biden has a lot of agency positions to fill. I would like to see him making a list of names now so the people he chooses are already vetted on day 1.

2. If Joe Biden leaves the agencies with the same people Trump appointed

they would be just as incompetent as they are now. Biden has a lot of work to do just to fill the top spots in all the government agencies. I hope he’s already working on it.

4. Trump deliberately put those people in charge.

I don't engage in "even if" scenarios with Trump because HE is the root of the problem. He DOESN'T try to do what is right. He is fundamentally NOT guided by what is right. He does what he thinks will maximize his benefit at that moment. He put people in those positions because he thinks they will be grateful and thus loyal to him. Their competence is irrelevant to Trump. In fact he deliberately got rid of competent people like Sally Yates, like Vindman, and others who actually tried to do the right thing.

I am sure that Biden is working on the list of people to replace the Trump clowns.

dump, even with all of his malevolence, could have chosen such a nasty incompetent kowtowing group.

Someone is pulling his strings. Opening and shutting (not enough) his orifice and jerking his hand to write signatures.

Fortunately for the (r)epuglicons, libertarians, and generally anti-democracy people, there are lots of truly dumb and evil MFers to hire to fill those positions.

With mcTurdle filling as many federal court positions with the same ilk, it'll be a hard row to get back to a functioning government, for the people, of the people, and by the people.

You couldn't blunder into a group whose distaste for the departments they head was more profound. Trumpsky is too lazy and stupid to have succeeded at failure to this extent without a great deal of guidance from others.

The entire republican't party owns this.

I agree that the proper replacements are being considered already. They need to repair the damage and chart the new course starting immediately.

tRump did the right thing? He waltzed into the WH, threw out the virus planning records, brought in Ivanka and Jared and decided as long as they were there, the rest did not matter. Senior advisors, who are not qualified for top security clearances? I wonder why Beavis and Butthead do not have positions in this administration? No doubt they are drawing paychecks, like Eric's wife and Jr's "girlfriend". Had a democratic president done this, the gop would have been screaming for their head. Once this fiasco is over, I do not want to hear anyone say "Time to look forward, not back" These bastards HAVE to pay for the damage they have done, and continue to do.

10. His futile attempts to hide won't do him any good. # of US confirmed cases & deaths keep climbing

~825K confirmed & ~45K deaths at present. Multiply that by at least 5X for the real infection rate and it's clear as day the Idiot's incompetence and depraved indifference to human life is causing horrifying damage to our country & American citizens.
