And no matter how hard we try, we can't scrape the stench off of our souls.
It's easy enough to throw away a pair of shoes that just won't stop stinking. It's a lot harder to throw away a pResident. And because this man is "in control," the odor of dog shit has turned into the odor of death.
If you don't believe that his inaction contributed to 40,000 deaths (so far) than you're a fool. In addition to being a buffoon, he's an inept ass, a cruel prick, and history may remember him as a mass murderer.
So let's skip the analogies. We're all waiting for November so we can vote him out, but even if that happened, he'd still be there until January 20th, 2021. We can only wonder what the death count will be by then.
This maniac has to go. The senate won't do it. The 25th Amendment is useless because his cabinet is filled with lackeys. So what do we do?
Here are some suggestions. If all of us concentrate hard enough, maybe a lightening bolt or meteorite will strike him. Maybe a White House reporter will have the guts to call him a clown who's taking a nightly crap on national TV and he'll have a stroke. Perhaps the Secret Service will remember the oath they took to protect America "... against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC."
All other suggestions welcome. But are we really going to let a madman continue to fuck America to death?
(And yes, in that first sentence, I spelled souls correctly.)

(41,971 posts)I love a little magical thinking as much as the next person, but people actually thought Mueller would take him out, impeachment would take him out, that America despite its history and all evidence to the contrary was going to find its mind and demand he go en masse
The same America that elected him. (Yeah I know the election was shit, Hillary won the popular vote etc) millions of people believe in him.
In Washington state, my state. The epicenter of the first outbreak, the first deaths, and one of the most successful states against the Coronavirus, we just had one of the largest protests against the lockdown. Not one of these people think we were successful BECAUSE of quarantine. 2,500 people, who refused social distancing, refused masks
The hospital I work at is quiet. Right now, there are only 10 Covid patients in my hospital. Not the first drop, but the first drop with the lowest number. Our entire four hospital system has about 110. In Seattle, in Washington we are successful. Together, we did it. And a few thousand dumb fuckers want to screw it up, and no few of them are those disgusting anti-vaxxers
I havent been scared, I dont run that way. but I am now.
So, yeah. I will magically think that asshole Trump getting caught and going to prison for the rest of his life
A HERETIC I AM
(24,365 posts)Also, the last time it had a major renovation was during Truman's administration, when the entire inside was gutted from the foundation to the rafters and completely rebuilt.
How incredibly appropriate would it be to see the White House under a fumigation tent the first week of the next administration?
And for good measure, gut the thing like they did in the late 40's to not only bring it up to modern standards, but to utterly remove any and all indications that shitstain ever lived there.
