That artificial, stilted, Miss Manners-like phrase only came off sounding upper-crust elitist. There were several events during the Clinton campaign that had me cringing, and that was one of the worst.

It's just unfortunate that she chose to use the word "deplorables," instead of a more base, common usage word.

Unfortunately, class gets you nowhere in Trumpistan.
