General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsOk, I just went on a little donation binge since I received a stimulus check.
Biden, McGrath, Harrison, Freshour, Cobb. Are there any other tight races that need help right now? I want to get these rotten MF's out.

(14,944 posts)Susan Collins will be toast!
I will donate again to Tedra Cobb. I have phone banked, canvassed, donated. I know her and think she is wonderful!
I have to keep most of my stimulus money to pay bills but will purchase goods from a local brewery and some local shops and restaurants.

(54,358 posts)I'll know more about Hickenlooper after tonight.
Otherwise, definitely Gideon in Maine and Cunningham in North Carolina.
I think Mark Kelly's chances are good in Arizona, but he can always use more help. Wendy Davis needs help with her House race in TX-21. Valerie Plame seems to be in good shape in NM-3, but the more the merrier.
I have already donated to McGrath and Harrison, too. Those are two I desperately want to win!

(63,221 posts)I am definitely in for ME, NC, TX and NM!
Feeling generous tonight!

(54,358 posts)Collins "concerns" me--she MUST go! Tillis in NC deserves the same fate.
I must have spoken to Wendy Davis for over half an hour last time I was in TX, and she just doesn't quit. And she REALLY listens. She's just wonderful. And, of course I have known Valerie for years. Not only is she wicked smart, she knows both the intelligence game (from her Agency time) and the diplomacy game (from Joe). She has a great sense of humor, too. She can make a Republican seem like a total fool, and he wouldn't even realize it until the whole exchange was shown on a youtube clip.

(63,221 posts)They have my support! Already donated in ME, will do so in TX and just donated to Plame.
I'll tell her!

(20,237 posts)I gave "at the office"! 😁
No, being silly. I donated several times to each so far. $3-$5 is all it takes to add to other donations.
This stupid virus got me spending tons more for items usually on sale or BOGO. We're paying top dollar for many things now.

(54,358 posts)Well, "top euro," anyway. Gas is cheaper. Finally under the equivalent of $5 per gallon--cheaper than it has been in 20 years or more. The norm here is between $6.50 and $7.50. Of course, since we can't go anywhere, it doesn't matter a lot.

(63,221 posts)I am sure they appreciate it, and that is more important. I suppose I am lucky in that my family is not hurting financially. I really do feel grateful about that. My parents are retired and the rest of us have all had the opportunity to work from home.

Any Democrat in NC. If you really want to fight the Republicans, anything you do to fight them in NC will also fight the entire party the best. NC is a hotspot for the dumbest, most corrupt, most obnoxious, most bigoted Republicans ever. So, any Democrat in NC can use the help.

(63,221 posts)I can't even get groceries delivered. I'm scraping by on rice, beans and pasta. But I don't mind. I'm not really that hungry these days.
