Rep. Jim Hagedorn is opposed to allowing more people to vote by mail during a pandemic.
On Monday, Rep. Jim Hagedorn (R-MN) claimed that allowing members of Congress to vote on legislation from their home is a scheme to make it easier for all Americans to vote by mail in November.
On a Facebook post, Hagedorn called remote voting a "very bad idea," even during the coronavirus pandemic, because it would be a slippery slope toward more Americans being allowed to vote by mail in the November presidential election.
Hagedorn is worried that Speaker Pelosi could change the House rules "in order to build an argument for universal mail-out/mail-in voting in 2020," according to the post.
"You can already hear her say: 'We changed the House's rules so members did not have to vote in person and could remain safe from the coronavirus. We must do the same for average everyday citizens. That is why universal registration and mail-in voting is so important. If we make changes for members of Congress, we should also do so for the American people,'" he wrote.

I use to live in Minnesota.....................and this asshole is fucking idiot................and this logic shows that he is about as stupid as a box of fucking rocks..................
According to Hagedorn, Americans voting by mail, thereby avoiding the danger of contracting a deadly virus, is bad.
So asshole why don't you stand at the front of line and shake hands to everyone at the poll and wanting them to re-elect you...............show everyone your bravery.................go for it lead the way..............dumb MF...............
November 3, 2020 cannot get here fast enough.....................

(1,977 posts)That is the issue.
The issue is that the ballots will not be counted by the same machines that would otherwise count the in-person ballots.
That seems to be their issue.
I guess the "fix" isn't in if we have to count them some other way.

(3,063 posts)because they have all those rigged machines that won't get a chance to flip your vote.

(33,244 posts)Because there's already States that conduct all voting by mail, and it works just fine.
If the whole nation goes to VBM, Repukes are toast, and they know it.
Quick, destroy the USPS so it won't work!

(2,227 posts)to flip votes electronically. Even the stupid know that, which is why the russian party is getting behind the mail-in vote ban, across the board.
The democratic party is for the greatest possible voter participation, which would be mail-in ballots. Which is
ALSO why they are determined to destroy the USPS before November. Private carriers will "go along to get along". They can be bought.
The ONLY way they can win is to cheat. And suppress.
So THAT is going to be their game plan.
