It is not an order but people are staying home.
Maybe that is why it is not listed.

I don't think we'll be "opening up" any time soon.

I live in RI but are sheltering in place in Mass, where I am from. I think like much of the North East we got hit with the more virulent strain coming from Europe. When we do open up there needs to be mandatory masks when you go into a business, in my opinion.

here in Cambridge, and a sign on the door said no entry without a mask. The world is turned upside down from when a masked man going in a liquor store would have brought the cops!

9. Cities and Towns are issuing their own mandates

My city and surrounding cities have all mandated that you have to wear a mask to enter any essential business. Everyone I see in stores and just out walking have masks. I live just north of Boston.

We are seeing the same here from what my guy tells me. He does all the shopping and I get to hear about the stupid things people do out in the stores, like a group of old ladies pulling their masks down in the store to talk to each other. It seems like people are starting to take things more seriously now.

But do all my shopping in Swampscott and Salem, everyone seems to be following the mask mandate, maybe I'm just missing the dummies.

I thought there was a stay-at-home order, but it turns out that it is an advisory.

We have always been in the habit of grocery shopping once per month, and that hasn't changed. But, we have not been to the local convenience store, nor any local restaurants or watering holes (of course, the watering holes are shut-down).

I used to go to my Dad's 3/week to make dinner for him and my sis, and I used to go grocery shopping with him every week, but I have not done either of these things in a few weeks. My Dad is 89 and we are trying to keep him as safe as we can.

Twice since the stay-at-home advisory, when I've been out shopping, I've heard people say, "I'm not wearing a mask. I'm not afraid, (yadda yadda yadda)." I find this scary. If they're not afraid of catching it, then good for them. They should be afraid of spreading it.

Our neighbor's kids have "play dates." I don't approve, but I keep my opinion to myself.

I heard on our local NPR affiliate that this week should be our peak. I honestly don't know how that can be confirmed without a testing program.

I spent many years working for people who analyze risk--some of them quite famous in the field. I think all of them would say that any model being used currently is only accurate as if an effective testing program is being utilized.
