World War II we had Rosie the Riveter...

World War II we had Rosie the Riveter. Women working in factories, sacrificing, for the war effort

My grandparents had ration books. I’ve got 4 types of cereals in my pantry. We are soft.

Even tho current FL executive orders prohibit that until at least May 8

At first there was a flood of support on their FB lost. People beating they can’t wait to come pay $8 for a damned grilled cheese

Then the common sense people came in and it turned into a melee.

Last I checked it about 3:1 against reopening

Good to know 25% of area residents are selfish f*cks

who was a nurse during WWII, saved aluminum foil until she died in 2010. It was a habit she found hard to break.

The whiners and complainers can just sit themselves in the back seat and shut up more; the grown-ups are trying to fix things.

I remember my mother's stories of how they coped with shortages of common things during WWII - like sugar, which was rationed. They would draw a line up the backs up their legs so it looked like they were wearing unavailable nylon stockings (which had seams in those days). With meat-packing plants closing we might not be able to get some meat products. I wonder what other kinds of foods will become unavailable.

I know several Karens and they are not complainers. It they take umbrage with this stupid use of their name I have their backs.
