Better numbers in Mi. today.

if you call 1,000 new cases and 113 deaths better. Still pretty grim 3 new cases in my little heaven and 1 more death making 12. We are at 12.4% kill rate. Mi. will start telling which nursing homes have cases soon. Think that will be helpful.

I was reading the various reasons for this, and part of it was that Metro has direct flights from both China and Europe, unlike a lot of airports, and of course because of other mitigating factors in the Detroit Metro area, like poverty and health issues.

My dad died in August and my mother (in Michigan) has been living at home, mostly on her own with a visiting assistant (my mom is in her 80s but still pretty self sufficient), and people who mow her lawn, etc. She's in a one-story house and is still able to get around and cook her own meals and so forth. We wanted to get her into a nice residential facility, but right now I just thank God we didn't, because she would have been at much higher risk.

By the time Gretchen knew it was a problem It was already out of control. Although we had few deaths initial testing which was so limited gave us 1.2 positives in every two tests. They could only test if every symptom was shown. Still testing at near 20% positive. But they can't do enough tests so who knows.

5. I'm not sure why that's relevant, if they were exposed (and the includes airport workers)

but there's a lot of people who are based in Detroit for the automotive industry, and a lot of people associated with the universities, and so forth, who would be based in the US but would travel.

2. If you're still on the upside of the curve, yes it is better to have fewer deaths than yesterday...

Here in WA, we're in similar shape to NY, in that we seem to be at or slightly beyond the "plateau."

Hang in there.
