Ted Lieu: I guarantee you Trump's statements about Kemp will be part of any employee lawsuit

if they get sick after their business is reopened.

Lieu's tweet, minutes ago:

Any business in Georgia now exposes itself to being sued if an employee can show causation & gets very ill or dies from #COVIDー19 if the business opened without phase 1 standards being met. And I guarantee these statements by @realDonaldTrump will be part of the lawsuit.

Fox 5 Atlanta tweet he was commenting on:

"I told the governor of #Georgia, Brian Kemp, that I disagree strongly with his decision to open certain facilities which are in violation of the phase one guidelines for the incredible people of Georgia," the president said. #fox5atl #COVID19 #coronavirus

Trump wants it both ways, encouraging states to loosen up and then pretending he didn’t.

working conditions are real in themselves. But useful for Trump to underline the chicanery politically for Illicit Officeholder Kemp. Businesses will be suing states for effectively forcing them to open.
