I make installment payments and have for years. I'm self-employed.
I therefore don't enter bank info when doing my return, but they do have my bank info on file somewhere because of the monthly payment I make via bank draft.
Still, I'm getting the proverbial message upon checking the website that they don't have enough info to tell if I'm eligible for the stimulus payment or not. I'm not even given the option to enter banking info. (I'm WAY eligible, btw.)
They clearly state on the site that even those who owe the IRS money will get this stimulus payment, but I'm wondering if we may be one of the last groups to be processed.
Anyone else in this situation?

(1,896 posts)I too am self employed, make quarterly payments, am eligible, and received the same response with each attempt.
By making these changes I get an affirmative response:
1. Enter SSN including hyphens - 999-99-9999
2. Enter DOB including slashes - 99/99/9999
3. Enter only line 1 of your address - 13 Mockingbird Ln (note - may require Ln or Lane, St or Street, Ave or Avenue, etc)
4. Enter 5 digit Zip
It may be because using keyboard shortcuts and manually typing in hyphens, slashes, and road types that searches using automated entries cannot find a match (just my opinion). Good luck.

(22,920 posts)I saw that it needs to be entered exactly as it shows on one's return (no Dr if it says Drive, for example).
I fear inevitably some of us are going to fall through the cracks with no way to remedy the situation. Continuing to get that message makes me fear I'm one of those who will be missed.
We shall see! Thanks.

Ive also been laid off work for a month and have yet to see an unemployment check. Its all pretty unsettling.
