Remember all the fuss about Muslim women wearing face coverings like burkas & niqabs?

Many in the US and overseas trying to ban them, Boris Johnson being one leader putting a stop to it. Well, now that we are all covering our faces with one thing or another, its mainstream now, don't hear much complaining going on about it. I find that ironic & really points out how racist or Islamophobic those objections truly were.

to wear masks, but men and women alike are suffering the discomfort.

By contrast, Muslim women weren’t living in extreme conditions. The streets were generally safe for them to have walked on u covered. What they were doing was to exhibit their status as chattel in their religion, and it was offensive to the majority society, especially to those who worked hard to equalize the status of women over many decades. If that be a “phobia”, so be it.

No, men and or religion shouldn't require unequal treatment based on whether you have a vagina or a penis.
However, if a female "wants" to wear a facial covering, they should never be castigated.

We have 30% of our population that will never wear a mask, Muslim women notwithstanding.
