I wondered if Trumpers could defend Trump's 'injecting disinfectant' talk...

Of course they can:

===
He did NOT say “injecting”. WTF are you trying to do here?
He talked about the potential of UV rays to kill the virus. Think about it, there are ways to possibly use it internally...I’m not a doctor, but when I heard this today I thought of how tubes are stuck down people’s throats for intubation, etc.
[Yes, he did say "injecting"]
---
He asked questions. He’s not completely wrong. You may not be able to bring uv rays into the body enough to eradicate the virus, BUT during the Spanish flu they learned that patients treated in the open air and sunlight improved survival by as much as 50%.
Sunlight can be part of a cure, as well as prevention.
---
Did he say “injecting” at all?
[Yes, he did say "injecting"]
---
He didn’t propose anything. He asked them if sunlight, heat, humidity and disinfectants kill the virus, can they be introduced into the body in some way as part of a cure.
The press is jumping on this because he was right about sunlight and they can’t let that be the focus.
---
Fresh air and sunlight were prescribed to TB patients too. Sunlight triggers the body to produce vitamin D, which is known to boost the immune system. Most people are Vitamin D deficient.
I have two UV-C lamps on back order. They can sterilize exposed surfaces in a room in minutes. They are definitely not tanning lamps.
---
disinfectant as a mist or something.... maybe he was thinking like an inhaler (injected).... sounds like he was thinking out loud. But said leave it up to the doctors.
MSM is grabbing at anything and twisting and spinning it. Desperation.
---
I don't know; I am not a doctor. I'm sure we all get some degree of UV light inside our noses and mouths, probably not inside our lungs. But it's worth researching, don't you think?
---
It’s called thinking, he’s worried for people and his heart is trying to come up with solutions.
=====

[but finally .... ]

---
I’m saying that was a cringeworthy moment for the president.

At the next press briefing (carnival show) let musing Donnie swallow a pint or quart of Clorox as a national demonstration. Or have Dr. Birx (who appeared to be squirming in her seat during the fiasco), inject El Presidente with Clorox or Lysol or some similar disinfectant.

Then we'll see what happens, as Trump is fond of saying.

Whatta we got to lose????

Lock him up.

Tweet:
"As I watched #DrBrix facial expressions, I started to think about her position as a doctor and how Trump's suggestion that doctors should consider experimenting with the idea was reminscent of Nazi scientists conducting medical experiments on humans. SAD."

I got into a heated discussion with some folks yesterday about our state reopening next week, by every estimation a dire mistake, and I got tons of "why make this political", "you can shut down the economy forever", "no president has ever had to face anything like this and he's doing an amazing job considering", "the administration is giving states everything they need"...and on and on and on...

It's infuriating and there is no rational conversation that you can have with some of those types.
