(27,558 posts)I take an anti-body test. It was either Covid, or rogue mutant RSV, because it did permanent damage to my heart and lungs...
My wife and son also had influenza and strep negative infections in Feb. My 9yo developed pneumonia with his after seeming to I have recovered.

(27,558 posts)I also infected 2 people that I know of as well. 1 also developed heart/ lung issues and my 4yo nephew ended up in the hospital for 5 days.
I even know the exact moment I caught it from someone not covering a deep, hacking cough in a Wal-Mart.

(65,031 posts)I've posted this before but germane to your point:
I subbed at a small school 2 weeks before Christmas for 3 days because a teacher was sick. He ended up out for 3 days. Each day I got asked to come back tomorrow.
That Friday, the 5th grade teacher called off.
That Sunday night I got sick. (5 days after I showed up there). The next week, 12 kids, a 3rd & 4th teacher, the secretary and the lady who runs food service were out sick. Counting me, that's 19 out of 130.
All were said to have bronchitis, and the secretary went all the way to pneumonia.
Nearly one out of 7 all got sick with respiratory issues in 12 days.
I didn't have a fever, but I read here on DU that 20 something percent of symptomatic patients don't have a fever.
Now, I also think I need the antibody test.
I will say my wife did NOT get sick.
So, I'm not saying for certain. But, my suspicion seems justified.

(50,949 posts)coughed for two months, still have a burning feeling in my chest now, four months later as if I have taken way too many aspirin.
I'd go to my doctor to see if there is some damage going on there, but her office is closed. I hope she isn't sick, but it seems likely.
