Article 25 Section 4 Stat

Woke this morning to Donald Trump suggesting that injecting people with 'DISINFECTANT' and hitting 'the body with a very powerful light' could kill Covid-19.

Blinks rapidly. Tries to dismiss the notion that we are all doomed. Remembers the constitution has thought about what needs to happen when the President has a mental health breakdown in front of the world.

Section 4 be like he has finally lost his mind COMPLETELY, he must be removed from office right now to save the republic.

Look at the US and the UK and be glad we're not like them

I have a lot of respect for Waleed Aly, the writer. Journalist with degrees in politics and chemical engineering. And I'm not posting it to assert some kind of imagined superiority over the US & the UK (I was born there).

He addresses the insanity and illogic of hard right wing/contrarian thinking that is currently unravelling the fabric of both US & UK society and warns we Aussies against it.

New Zealand has been amazing, but lucky they are an island or two, basically. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern there is great.

FAVOR the lockdown. The "protesters" are an infintisimal minority...Characterizing an entire country by it -- one whose population dwarfs yours by hundreds of millions -- is absurd.

That is why America is saying Oh Shit. Because of what the right wing are trying to do, I think you misunderstood my comment.

It is likely that Kushner read this cure somewhere, told the orange king about it. Soon Moscow Mitch, Lindsey Graham, Hannity, Limbaugh and the gop will all be saying "This is GENIUS" John Roberts will discuss it with his colleagues, Barr will decide it IS genius. When does testing start? Fortunately, we do not have universal healthcare like THOSE countries. We get only the BEST. Look at who we have in the WH. Cream of the gop crop.

I still can't believe my ears. Even by loony bin Trump standards this is off the freaking wall. This guy should be carted out in a straitjacket and sent for a long "rest." Did you ever think you'd ever hear anything like this out of an American president? And nothing from the GOP. Absolutely nothing.

We have six months to the election, and frustrating as it is to listen to Trump (I no longer watch), he is doing himself damage even among his own voters. Yes, there are some people who will do the stupid things that Trump suggests, but more people will think he’s bonkers for suggesting that a bright light or ingesting household cleaners might cure coronavirus.

The states that re-open early, like Georgia, will see a big spike in infections—and that will work against Republicans there.

We need to do everything we can to get people registered to vote, and to support vote by mail as an easy alternative to in-person voting. Here in my county, the Democratic Party is finding a way to contact people online and get them the papers to register to vote since we can’t do in-person registrations yet. A lot of local Indivisible groups are also active and have Facebook communications. I know a lot of people no longer use Facebook, but my local group has been active in using it to coordinate letter-writing protests since in-person protests are too dangerous just now.

I’m cheered by the recent election in Wisconsin. If Biden can win states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, Trump will lose.

Does installing Mike Pence into the Oval Office constitute "saving the republic," or "taking the republic from the frying pan, and tossing it into the fire?"
