(32,017 posts)This is a well-documented first-line defense of low-level people with Cluster B personality disorders when they are called out on their antisocial behavior.
Call me unconvinced and unimpressed.

(42,271 posts)That was nothing like "sarcastic" or "joking"--but he can't come out and say "That was a dumb thing to say" because the truth is not something with which he is on speaking terms.

If it was sarcasm, then he knows fuck all about comedy and sarcasm.

(9,287 posts)Trump launched into an impression of him, pointedly flopping his right arm around with his hand held at an odd angle while saying (in imitation of Kovaleski): Now, the poor guy, youve got to see this guy: Uhh, I dont know what I said. Uhh, I dont remember, hes going like I dont remember. Maybe thats what I said'
I have no idea who this reporter, Serge Kovalski [sic], is, what he looks like or his level of intelligence. I dont know if he is J.J. Watt or Muhammad Ali in his prime or somebody of less athletic or physical ability. Despite having one of the all-time great memories, I certainly do not remember him. I merely mimicked what I thought would be a flustered reporter trying to get out of a statement he made long ago.
Note. Kovaleski had covered Trump extensively while working for the Daily News from 1987 to 1993 and had interviewed and talked to the business magnate numerous times during that period.

(22,911 posts)...which he saw no need to clarify in real time? If people all around the world took him literally at his word, which they did, what does that say about his judgement? Holding a grudge match on matters of life and death with reporters he doesn't like just to see what would happen? With sarcasm so poorly played that literally no one in the world didn't take him seriously? This is supposed to be his defense? Not only is it totally implausible but it is almost as horrific as the truth.

(1,353 posts)50k people dying is nothing to joke about and will hope ONE reporter will call him on it today and not let up and not care if they get tossed out of the room...enough!!
And when will ONE GOP person finally jump off this crazy train?? Every GOP up for election needs to be thrown out.
I know Brix and Fauci are needed to keep things somewhat in check...Fauci more, but really, when have they had enough?!
