https://www.rawstory.com/2020/04/revealed-trump-owes-tens-of-millions-of-dollars-to-a-state-owned-chinese-bank/President Donald Trump has been trying to portray former Vice President Joe Biden as a pawn of the Chinese government but a new report from Politico claims that the president is literally tens of millions of dollars in debt to a Chinese state-owned bank.
According to the report, a Trump real estate partner in 2012 initiated a $1 billion refinance scheme for a skyscraper at 1290 Avenue of the Americas in New York in which Trump owns a 30 percent stake.

The debt includes $211 million from the state-owned Bank of China its first loan of this kind in the U.S. which matures in the middle of what could be Trumps second term, financial records show, the publication writes. Trumps ownership of the building received a smattering of attention before and after his 2016 campaign. But the arrangement with the Bank of China and its impending due date in 2022 has gone largely unnoticed.

(12,286 posts)He is in debt a mile deep.
He is a poor person.
He has entanglements and ties to all kinds of foreign governments and thugs who hold sway over him.
He has committed numerous financial crimes and would spend the rest of his days in prison.

(14,173 posts)I mean I understand how. He's the President. And also Trump handpicked the IRS boss, Charles Rettig to make sure it all gets buried.
But you'd think that at some point enough flags would be raised that an audit would be almost automatic on him. That any administrator would have to incriminate themselves by stopping it.

(21,433 posts)In a few years, when he's dead, everything about him will come to light. People will leak info like a sieve. His spawn will try to stop it, but without the orange one as buffer, they won't be able to keep the truth from spilling out. His wealthy supporters, like the Mercers, will try to shut down the truth, especially where they might be involved, but it will come out.
So why would it matter when he's dead and gone? If nothing else, as a lesson on populism and con artists getting into government. An illustration of how badly people were conned. Some will never believe that, but others will get it.
Trump is just the front man for wealthy puppet masters who back and enable him. So, exposing the extent of Trump's damage to the nation, and the people who enabled him should turn a large majority of people solidly against the party that embraces and backs him now, for decades to come.
