... I believe he has saved the world from a large conflict on more than one occasion. Maybe it is because he speaks reasonably, with emotional intelligence at diplomatic meetings. Maybe it is because I worked in the government and came to know the American international agenda. Stay with me, as it is even more than that.

23. Yes, of course. The Russian oligarchs are not cowards,

so "scared" may be too strong a word, but they know who their enemies are and that this is an existential battle for them. We're far more powerful, we are engaged in a war that they created, and and they must now win or we will destroy them.

They know Russia itself is relatively weak and poor and their warfare has made enemies out of many nations. They know that under Democratic leadership the U.S. will resume leadership of those nations to destroy them. Many oligarchs are already unable to visit most advanced nations without risking arrest and have had much of their foreign investments seized, billionaires confined to one of the planet's backwards backwaters. The sanctions Putin wanted lifted as a critical goal will be reinstated, enforced, and more piled on, and if hurt too bad the oligarchs who keep him in power may turn on him.

So -- Russia ramped up its occult warfare to major overt warfare in 2016 to get Democrats out of power. And replace the Democrats they fear with the Republicans their export of corruption had worked so well with. The same thing happening in many nations whose corrupted RW parties have developed interdependent relationships with their corrupters.

Sanders' anti-Democrat, illiberal leftists just can't and won't understand that ALL the genuine possibilities in the primaries were LIBERAL DEMOCRATS. That's because we're America's liberal party.

Democrats are not going to nominate anti- liberals of any flavor: not conservatives, not illiberal socialists, not libertarians. And certainly not left or right-wing anti-democracy populists and extremists trying to find a way to overcome the decisions of the majority.

If Biden hadn't started and remained our most popular choice, another similar liberal Democrat would have gone on to become the favorite among all the liberal choices instead.

This IS democracy at work. Nothing new that some hate it and would deny the will of the people even as they prate loudest about serving the people.

17. I read through all that before I knew who Alexandra Reade is

(because she doesn't come into British news, and I haven't been following the allegations here on DU). My thoughts were "jeez, that woman has an unhealthy sexual obsession about Putin". So I googled her, and only then found out she's the Tara Reade in the Biden allegation.

And I'm not surprised medium.com says "the author deleted this Medium story" with a direct link, and you had to use archive.org. Because that doesn't make her ideas about sex and politicians very credible.

No need to look further than Putin propping up Assad in Syria prolonging a civil war for years that Assad would have lost in months, while blocking any real negotiated solutions by insisting that Assad remain in power. How many hospitals and food markets have been bombed? How many millions or starving refugees have resulted?
