The darkly tongue-in-cheek Darwin Awards periodically disabuse us of the notion that nobodys stupid enough to, say, consider injecting themselves with disinfectant to cure covid-19. ... That is, no one except, perhaps, Donald Trump.
The president said at Thursdays White House coronavirus briefing that it would be interesting to investigate the possibility that disinfectant cleansers, which kill viruses quickly on surfaces, might have the same effect on viruses infecting the human body if we could just get the stuff inside us. Volunteers, anyone?
And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute, said Trump. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because, you see, it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So, itd be interesting to check that.

I wouldnt doubt that a few 6-year-olds entertained the same thoughts as Trump, but its safe to assume that no one who routinely cleans houses is going to try out the presidents interesting idea. In a related matter, the Food and Drug Administration issued a warning Friday against non-hospital uses of hydroxychloroquine as a covid-19 treatment, which Trump has also touted, saying the drug can lead to death.

(935 posts)Now that was a little sarcasm. But in every way, small and large, important and petty, this guy is trump all day long. We're watching in utter horror as our worst nightmares are happening. So yea, it was funny and tacky when he served champion ball teams cold fast food at the white house. When he ignores an impending deadly pandemic, not so funny or tacky. It's deadly. Can November get here soon enough?

(2016 Vanity Fair article) "After a more than two-year investigation...33 hearings...congressional investigations...four public hearings...estimated cost of $7 million...Republican House Benghazi Committee released their long-awaited report on the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi that resulted in the death of four Americans...general election five months away...the 800-page report...once again failed to find a smoking gun to pin the tragedy on Clinton."

She was a Reagan worshipper and a savage critic of Clinton.I don't care what she's saying now.
