Every MSM talking head and anchor for the past two days has minimized Trump's unfitness by repeating ad nauseam that he was "riffing." Bullshit!
He was drawing on his favorite resource, the right-wing fake Christian scam masters:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/24/revealed-leader-group-peddling-bleach-cure-lobbied-trump-coronavirus
The leader of the most prominent group in the US peddling potentially lethal industrial bleach as a miracle cure for coronavirus wrote to Donald Trump at the White House this week.
In his letter, Mark Grenon told Trump that chlorine dioxide a powerful bleach used in industrial processes such as textile manufacturing that can have fatal side-effects when drunk is a wonderful detox that can kill 99% of the pathogens in the body. He added that it can rid the body of Covid-19.
A few days after Grenon dispatched his letter, Trump went on national TV at his daily coronavirus briefing at the White House on Thursday and promoted the idea that disinfectant could be used as a treatment for the virus. To the astonishment of medical experts, the US president said that disinfectant knocks it out in a minute. One minute!

This is like Trump saying it was "sarcasm"--as if that somehow makes the abject stupidity and callousness less painful.
Who in their right mind "riffs" on the notion of injecting bleach into people's veins?
Whatever the reason or lack of reason behind the statement, it was dumb, ignorant, irresponsible, reprehensible, and should prove to anyone with working brain cells that the man is unfit for office.

(4,572 posts)It was an idea fed to him by the Hannity-led right-wing. That is pernicious, to say that least! The MSM rarely tells us how much Trump is not some self-generated fool--that is, that all of his awful ideas are directly spoon fed to him by the vile army of conservative cretins.
