(182,603 posts)We went to North Myrtle Beach for several years. As you probably know, the beach was so packed that they had to outlaw pop ups. There was no room for EMTs to get TO the water. People on top of each other.
We were lucky and had a sort of semi-private spot in front of our condo building. On either side it was ridiculous.

(12,151 posts)I have Republican family members in Georgia. So far they're paying attention to the CDC, not the governor, and staying at home most of the time & practicing social distancing when they do go out.
They're not rabid Trump-humpers, though -- just evangelical Christian conservatives. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any chance they'll support Biden (not to mention other Dems), but at least their support for Trump may be softening.
We don't talk about politics much, to maintain family harmony. No point in having unpleasant family drama when none of us are really persuadable.

(34,195 posts)My brother and his wife are going soon to their favorite restaurant harbor side, which is usually packed.
I asked if they planned on ordering a glass of bleach with dinner.
He laughed and said "Everyone knows Trump was just joking".
Uh huh.
