However, with Kamala as VP OR AG, I would think CA would elect another Dem Senator to replace her. I am not as confident that MN would elect a Dem to replace her. But wholeheartedly agree MoscowMitch must go....no matter what.

It would take a Roy Moore-level candidate on the Democratic side to lose a senatorial election in California, it’s one of the most blue states in the country.

Tammy Duckworth and Tammy Baldwin. You will have to specify which one you mean.

And I hope Amy Klobuchar does not become majority leader some day. I expect Schumer to serve through 2028 and then be succeeded by Chris Van Hollen.

and I, too, would view it the same way.

An African American woman is the holy grail for Biden in 2016. There are several who would be excellent. We need to get as many voters to vote this November and, in my humble opinion, this would be a big part of accomplishing just that.

Why do people keep making this stupid suggestion?

If Senator Harris was a male I don't think this idea would keep coming up. Think about it.

She did a great job as Attorney General of California.

I like Amy just ok. . . I find her too whitebread. OF COURSE had she gotten the nominaton, I would have busted my ass to get her elected. If Biden chooses her, I'll still do the same. But I would prefer a person of color like Stacy Abrams or Kamala. . .

Both come from solid blue states and won’t help flip any swing states. Neither will help attract more progressive voters to the ticket. Klobuchar won’t energize the African American vote. And from what I’ve been hearing from African American friends Harris doesn’t have a great relationship with the African American community either.

There are far better choices for VP who all put the ticket in a better position to win the election.

The Midwest.

I think Biden will come up with someone we haven't even thought of. Harris, Demings, and Abrams need more seasoning. I don't like anybody's main qualification being their race. Rice does not have the right kind of experience, but could make a good SOS. Adam Schiff would be a great AG, not to mention that would make trump/Barr crazier.

I'm thinking Tammy Duckworth would fill all categories: Midwest, smart, tough, Veteran, woman of color.

That said, Kamala ( who I also like a lot), may well be the best move, as you know it will strongly bring out the black voters, even though some may not like that she was too hard on crime as Calif Attorney general. I’m sure Joe will poll the shit out of the various choices he’s considering.
