COVID-19 is a political bombshell?

Because there will be unforeseen consequences from eventual food shortages and job losses.

The protests in the streets will become larger and louder.

The political Parties will attempt to blame the other. Democrats will truthfully say that Trump was slow to react and made it exponentially worse. Republicans will say that the shutdown of the economy and the country was the fault of the Democrats. It is not true but it is enough for Trump to sell to his followers. There will be a lot of finger-pointing.

Donald Trump is nothing if not a political opportunist. He will sense that his fortunes rise or fall with the protestors in the street. It is just a matter of time before he joins them in their crusade to blame the Democrats. It could happen very soon.

If there are food shortages and peoples lives are threatened, it could be a very unpredictable political situation by this November.

The key word is "unpredictable".

1. At this point, Trump owns the shutdown as much as any Democrat.

Especially after he knifed his ally, Brian Kemp, in the back.

Trump is just a bungler. Even when he’s right, he manages to get it wrong.

whatever it is that he perceives to be in his way. But in that, and other ways he's very predictable in that he never functions for the good of anyone but himself. He is a ratfucker extraordinaire and there's no
way he can win a free and fair election, just as he didn't "win" in 2016. Can we do it? We have to.

by the time people are voting, people will know a lot of the consequences, but GOP can throw dust in the air about how much worse it would have been if not for Trump. Plus blaming China. The whole election could turn out to be about China.

One thing working against Trump is his obvious lack of seriousness. Lots of evidence of that, thousands of Trump tweets about his TV ratings, videos of idiotic statements at his press conferences/rallies.

Could one predict another outbreak right around election time, and it’s ramifications? Was this pandemic perpetrated?

The washout of this fiasco will last for years. The market will recover leaving a trail of misery in its wake. All we can do is our best. This is one ugly learning experience.

The Governors had no choice but to take over. It was their Tenth Amendment right.
