Why should the people and taxpayers of America be bailing out poorly run states (like Illinois, as example) and cities, in all cases Democrat run and managed, when most of the other states are not looking for bailout help? I am open to discussing anything, but just asking?

Exactly! The republicans really haven't thought this argument through, have they?

The money going for bailouts is taxpayer money and should be going back to entities (states, local governments) who are going to spend it on services that will help the taxpayer. Not on irresponsible companies who didn't manage their finances well and will then take that money and buy back stock and give out executive bonuses, while they lay off the people at the bottom of the food chian.
