John Kerry in 2004 was the presumptive nominee

I was visiting my family that year I asked what they thought about Kerry.

“ flip flopper “ was what is was hearing from everyone. Fox had its direction and everyone was saying it.

Well it’s 2020, and they have their plan. Everyone in my family is talking about Biden being senile. That is the direction of the Fox campaign.

I hope we are on top of that. I hope they keep Kerry close by as the campaigns will be similar.

2. So, that's all you got out of that OP, that you should name-call the OP's family?

The point of the OP is an obvious warning about what the right wing line of attack on Joe Biden is going to be - an actually pertinent bit of information.

because I guess that would mean they are fair game in your playbook. That's not what this board is all about. You might want to rethink your approach if you're planning to stay.

Might I suggest that you calm down? We're all in this together and the poster didn't choose his family, so please give him some slack and think your thoughts and maybe not spew them into the world. Of course, we are all adults and choose our behaviors. I hope your day is filled with light and wonderous thoughts.

We need to be prepared to counter and destroy that "senility" meme NOW.

He basically flips on every statement he makes within a few hours, sometimes in the same speech.

Who again is senile?

They can't use that line of attack when their turd is clearly out to lunch 24-7.

8. There will be another precedent that will have a stronger influence on fucking up the 2020 election.

.

Back in 1980, the Reagan & Bush camps were bitter rivals, more so that the Sanders and Clinton camps of 2016. I mean they fucking hated each other so much that a schism emerged that threatened to destroy the majority of down-ballot elections. And this is even after the start of the Moral Majority and the established Phyllis Schlafly movements had coalesced a lot of religious groups. The GOP was in dire straights.

Instead of Reagan and Bush keeping the fight going, they joined forced and that led to a 12-year Republican presidency. They still fucking hated each other for many years.

A critical and perhaps a politically fatal error would be for Biden to pick someone with similar political views or a relatively unknown VP pick. And unknown regional VP would be a Major Fuck-UP! He needs to bring the entire party together and also attract a lot of Independents and left-leaning Republicans. If he does that, no amount of GOP or Russian fuckery will surmount that. If he chooses to play it safe, then he risks the whole enchilada.

10. Also about KERRY, "It's his to lose."

The local radio wingnut yak host went to D.C. to hobnob with his connections and came back to report that that was the word.

He didn't get deep enough into their strategizing to find out that KKKarl was working on the Steal.

But even with our being subjected to SHIT'ER's outrageousness, with the old days seeming mild by comparison, it still smarts to remember the a-hole Repukes waving flip-flops and wearing band-aids with Purple Hearts.

11. And I hope you and your family will start watching Biden --

he's appearing almost every day now, you know, and make INFORMED, RESPONSIBLE personal decisions about his mental state. It's clear that is not happening yet.

Btw, are you SURE this post pushing the idea of Biden being senile was the best contribution you might have made today?

Maybe think of it less in political than in personal terms if that helps: "Could I or my family survive this Republican pandemic only to die in one in their next term?"

17. Don't forget that the meme started with Cenk Uygur
Mon Apr 27, 2020, 12:36 PM

and propagated by TYT first. Then it was propagated by Brihana Joy Grey and other staffers. One staffer was previously fired by the campaign for nefarious activities and was rehired by Jane Sanders to propagate this meme.

Perhaps it is time for TYT et al to come clean and say they were simply playing dirty and that there is no truth to their stories.

I haven’t watched it, but I had a co-worker who was seriously disturbed by it and asked me if I thought he was “senile”

I pointed out he’s been in public office for decades, and it’s easy to pick out negative sound bites, not helped by Biden’s tendency to be off the cuff. I also pointed out that he’s was very active as a Vice president, has been planning another run for the presidency which was successful. He is an interactive AND active man, appears to be in pretty damn good shape, knows owns his way around the legislative process and is showing zero signs of senility. Occasionally words or mixing them up when one speaks thousands upon thousands a year is not a sign of senility. He has interests and hobbies and in general is a busy guy

Personally While I am fully behind his candidacy, I had to overcome a number of things I disliked about him. Senility is value neutral as far as like or dislike, but I wouldn’t support a person I thought was impaired in anyway. It’s bullshit, and particularly ugly bullshit
